How can the NCAA help me prepare for life after college?

There are over 380,000 student-athletes, and to every one of them we're about learning, balance, spirit, community, fair play and character.

To us, and to many, "going pro" is a measure of success outside of sports. Our job is to nurture the environment of academic development and athletics participation and to ensure fair competition for every participant. We help you prepare for life after college because the NCAA is focused on making your college experience off the playing field as enriching as the one on the field.

The power of one voice speaking on your behalf.

The National Collegiate Athletic Association was formed in 1906 as a single voice to speak and act on the issues facing college sports at a national level. Overseeing the guidelines that deal with your safety and time demands are just a few of the functions that we, as the NCAA, are able to speak out on to make sure you have the chance to participate in a fulfilling educational and athletic experience.
